Students of Glendale’s Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation to be taught with textbooks sent from Armenia

According to Hayern Aysor, President of the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation Vahik Satoorian has conveyed his welcoming remarks to the Foundation’s teachers, students and parents ahead of the 2016-17 School Year, particularly stating the following:

“According to tradition, on September 1st, the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation will be restarting Armenian language courses at 26 schools in 7 U.S. cities.

We are pleased to inform you that we recently held a meeting with 60 teachers during which the board gave the teachers relevant tasks and instructions.

This year, the parents of the students of the educational foundation are more than interested and bring their children with excitement and with the hope that their children will be provided with an Armenian education and upbringing. Our teachers are preparing for the 2016-17 School Year with more energy and vigor.

The Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation congratulates all teachers and students, wishing them success and a prolific academic year.

Taking into consideration the motto “Fight against Assimilation”, the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation continues to carry out its pro-national efforts aimed at providing young Armenian Americans with an Armenian education and upbringing.

We would also like to inform that this year, for the first time ever our students will be taught with textbooks sent from Armenia. Taking the opportunity, once again we express our gratitude to the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, namely Minister Hranush Hakobyan for the numerous and multifaceted textbooks, workbooks and methodological handbooks provided to the Foundation.”
